MAXY, MAX HERMAN

MAXY, MAX HERMAN
MAXY, MAX HERMAN (1895–1971), Romanian artist, and director of the Art Museum of the Socialist Romanian Republic. Maxy was born in Brāila, educated at a Jewish school and studied at the school of Belle Arté. He completed his studies in Berlin and in 1925 exhibited with the "November Group." In the 1930s he exhibited in Rome, Paris, the Hague, and Brussels. He designed sets and costumes at the company of Vilna for The Night in the Old Market of peretz and Shabbetai Ẓevi.
